Teacher Appreciation Week
May 11-15

Our teachers are getting ready to party like it’s 1999! Teacher Appreciation Week is May 11-15, and we’ve got all that and a bag of chips lined up to celebrate our incredible staff!

We’ll be looking for volunteers to help cover lunch + recess. Sign ups will be sent through room parents. All volunteers must be CORI certified.

Spirit Day Book Swap Donations
Now through May 26

Bring in your gently used, elementary reading level books for the Spirit Day Book Swap. Donate as many books as you’d like! No board books, please.

Drop them off in the designated bin located in the lobby. Donations will be accepted until Tuesday, May 26th.

On Spirit Day, ALL students will be given the opportunity to shop the Book Swap and select books to take home!

Dine Out at Soc’s Ice Cream
May 28, 6:30-7:30pm

Sprinkle in some school spirit while supporting Hoover at Soc’s Ice Cream on May 28 from 12–10pm. Mention Hoover at checkout for one sweet way to give back. Mark your calendars for a day that’s sure to be the cherry on top of your week!

Spirit Day + Book Swap
Friday, May 29, during school hours

Get ready to have a ball at Spirit Day! Students will bounce into action and race to the finish, with yard games, a bounce obstacle course, water relays, — plus a DJ to keep the beat moving!

Save the Date: We’ll need volunteers to help make the day a slam dunk—all volunteers must be CORI certified. Volunteer sign ups will be circulated by room parents closer to the event.

Declutter your closets and support the PTO! The Bay State Textiles bin next to the school accepts items like clothing, bedding, shoes, stuffies and accessories. The bags are weighed and the PTO receives a dollar amount per pound. See accepted items.

Support Programs

We raise funds for the school for field trips, enrichment programs, and other school needs. We’re committed to enriching the academic and social experiences of our students by providing support for various programs.

Build Community

We aim to foster strong connections between families, teachers, and school officials to create a thriving educational community. By hosting social gatherings and exchanging ideas, we hope everyone feels at home and included at Hoover.
