Welcome to Lincoln Elementary PTO
What’s Going on @ Lincoln

The Melrose Pedestrian & Bike Committee (PBC) is inviting elected officials to observe traffic safety concerns and opportunities at Lincoln School THIS WEEK through Friday, March 27th, which is MassDOT Safe Routes to School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week.
We’re seeking community members to help out by greeting elected officials at Crossing Guard locations, taking photos while electeds observe arrival and dismissal times, and inviting their participation in a short post-arrival/dismissal debrief (questions provided by PBC). (We understand that arrival and dismissal times can be challenging for parents and commuters, so the volunteer time slots are not meant to be exact.)

The Lincoln PTO is partnering with The Kitchen for a Parent’s Night Out! On Thursday, April 2 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, join Lincoln parents and friends for a night of wine and heavy appetizers! It’s an open house format so come and go as it works for your schedule. The drinks will be cold and the food will be hot when you arrive. Registration required. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the PTO.

The Lincoln School community has been coming together to provide meals, personal hygiene and new or gently used clothing for families in our community. There is an open door, no questions asked policy in the school main office for families to come in and grab bags of pre-packed breakfast, lunch and dinner bags that would serve a family of 4. We have also been supplementing these with the grocery gift cards.
Food donations can be dropped off in the clear Food Donations bin that is next to the lost and found by the main entrance. Any other items can be dropped off in the Main Office. Every contribution makes a difference—thank you for supporting our families!

If you are interested in learning more about the impact the Lincoln community has made with these contributions, here are some numbers updated as of 3/17/26.

The Melrose Education Foundation is excited to launch our first annual Excellence in Education Award! Every day, educators across Melrose Public Schools support innovation, strengthen the school community, and make a meaningful difference for students. This award is an opportunity to recognize someone who goes above and beyond.
For our first annual honoree, we’ll be putting together some special recognition, as well as $500 in unrestricted funding.
Take a moment to nominate someone – nominations are open through April 3, and submitting one only takes a minute.
