Welcome from the PTO President

Aug 26, 2025

Dear Hoover Families,

On behalf of the PTO, I’d like to extend a heartfelt welcome to all our new families and a warm welcome back to those returning! As we kick off another exciting school year, we’re wishing everyone, students, parents, teachers, and staff, the very best for a smooth and successful start.

We’re thrilled to be planning a full calendar of events this year, some familiar favorites and some brand-new experiences we can’t wait to share with you. Whether it’s community-building, fundraising, or just plain fun, we’re looking forward to bringing everyone together.

Last year, as a new PTO finding our feet, our focus was on clear communication and budget transparency. This school year we would like to build on these initiatives by also focussing on sub-committee engagement and also making the PTO meetings more dynamic and fun.

We’d love for you to join us at our first PTO meeting on Monday, September 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the APR or on Zoom. Come for the updates and conversation, and come in person for refreshments and good company! Right after the meeting, we’ll keep the fun going with a casual mix-and-mingle at the Rising Eagle. It’s a great chance to meet other families, connect with the PTO board, and ease into the new school year together.

Lastly, we are so appreciative that many of last year’s volunteers will return to lead our PTO sub-committees! Their energy and ideas contributed to a record-breaking fundraising effort in the last school year, and we look forward to smashing last year’s total. We’re always looking for more helping hands and friendly faces to join us. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a place for you! Volunteering is a great way to meet other families, support our school, and make a real impact.

Here’s to a great, fun year!
