Save the Date! 10/18

The annual Horace Mann Pumpkin Festival will take place on Saturday, October 18th. The Pumpkin Festival features fun attractions and activities like pumpkin decorating, arts & crafts, cookie decorating, pony rides, games and more. Guests are welcome to purchase baked goods, raffle tickets for great prizes, pumpkins and more! This event is a long-standing school tradition and a wonderful way to kick off the Fall season, connect with other Horace Mann families, and fundraise for the PTO.

We are in need of volunteers to help with lending items and running different areas during the day on October 19th. Please check out the Horace Mann Pumpkin Festival – Parent Volunteer Sign Up for a list of opportunities.

This year we’ll once again host the raffle table, a great way to support the PTO and win some fantastic items. To make the raffle baskets fun and creative, we’re asking families in each classroom to contribute a $3–$5 donation (or whatever amount feels right for your family). The funds will be pooled to create themed baskets for each grade (think: Movie Night, Game Night, Sports, etc.).

If you’d like to contribute:

  • Send cash, check (made out to Horace Mann PTO) or donation of raffle items (in a labeled envelope) to your child’s teacher by Friday, October 10.

Other ways to help:

  • Volunteer to organize or staff the raffle table
  • Help source gift cards or raffle items
  • Donate through your business (or connect us with someone who can!)
